Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko says seeing his players play a role in Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup is a major boost for the club.The Black Stars sealed their place at next year’s global showpiece after edging Comoros to finish top of Group I in the African qualifiers.Tanko praised midfielder Prince Owusu and defender Kamaradini Mamudu for their contributions to Ghana’s successful campaign, noting that their involvement reflects positively on Medeama’s growing reputation.“Owusu deserves his Black Stars call-up. He had the opportunity to feature for the Black Stars in the final ten minutes against Central African Republic and did well."Unfortunately, he did not get any minutes in the final game. In all, he did very well. We also have Kamaradini who played a part in the qualification. I think it’s very good for the club and the players as well.
